Wifi / bluetooth greyed out iPhone 6

Hi , one of my Iphones wifi greyed out and i have done all the guides on the net :-) i have also replaced a new Wifi/Gps modul and the wifi flex cabel but still greyes out. If i open the screen and removing the battery connector and on again the wifi works a few hours before it greyes out again . Someone have a solution :-) ? Could it be the Wifi chip modul that is broken ? If so , what tools do i need to assemble a new WiFi chip ?

Of course it's the chip. You can't fix a greyed out wifi with a new antenna, its like replacing the tires when your car won't start.

I had the similar issue with GPS not being accurate on an iPhone 6. Replaced wifi antenna and hey presto fixed. This is cheap enough option to try.

On a side note, there are some techs on here that are just down right rude. Get a grip please, not everyone is a pcb genius like you.

My WiFi was greyed out and my Bluetooth was also not working on my iPhone 6 so I replaced the WiFi antenna flex cable and then my WiFi and Bluetooth both started working.

This seems to be a pretty common problem but nearly all of the youtube videos and websites are rubbish.

I'm still debating if it would be the iPhone 6 Logic Board Antenna Flex Cable or the iPhone 6 Wi-Fi Antenna would do the fit - my iphone 6 had the greyed out wifi icon (no wifi) and while the Bluetooth icon can be switch on/off, there is no Bluetooth connection even its on.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 6 and more to that. For sure Ive tried hardware restart (almighty 10 secs of two-button press), syncing with iTunes and updating firmware but the most annoying is to be limited with cellular data. But as I said, there is more: After I realized that WiFi switch grayed out, I also realized that following functions started not to work either.

-Bluetooth: does not turn on. dots keep spinning.

-Location Services: iPhone cannot locate itself.

-Date and time progression: This is the most interesting! iPhone clock for indicating the time does not change. it stays at the last time when it is manually set. Which causes that all the pictures taken and all incoming text messages are tagged with the same time are again sorted wrong.

-Display Rotation: Display does not rotate when iPhone is held portrait or landscape.

-Vibrate on silent: iPhone only vibrates when it is not muted.

I've listed all the items as I figured up to now. If I observe any thing more I'll post for sure.

Since it happened after warranty period, authorized Apple repair shops proposed swapping with a brand new iPhone 6 for $370

I did not see anyone has ever faced all those problems at the same time. I desperately search for some reasonable explanation.

almost all same-- wifi grayed out, blue tooth icon spinning- happened the morning I did new ios update, that I had neglected to do for awhile-- not sure if it didn't occur before the upgrade...only lets me use cellular data and did hard reset-many times and also went into general and did the reset as well; my screen is cracked and this did happen to me in July 2016 as well -- still searching for answers- just on the phone with apple for an hour doing an itunes reset i guess -- pretty frustrating, need to go to the apple store tomorrow:(

I had the same issue but I found a local iphone repair shop and they fixed in less than an hour. They also handle online repair at www.mmstore.be

Hello everyone,

I have the same problem after dropping my iPhone 6s in a lake.

After drying it for a few weeks everything works again except the Wifi and BT. I have noticed that it does work when the phone is cool. But as soon as it gets hot the Wifi gets grayed out and BT gets the circling circle.

I’ve already bought a new iPhone but I still want to repair the old one. To change the Wifi-unit costs a lot but now I am thinking maybe it could be the antenna?

Any thoughts?
