Will not complete power up.

OK, my phone was working great.....during the night the battery died.......Now that I've charged the battery the Start Up will not complete. It starts like everything is going good and then when it gets to the "HTC Quietly brilliant" screen it comes to a dead stop. I've tried turning it off and on several times to see if maybe I could jump start it with no results.......Is there anyone out there have any advise? I can understand what happened .......
