Glass replaced but screen not working now (backlight is)

I've followed the instructions to replace the glass screen perfectly, but now the screen doesn't display anything.

I can see the back light is working when I press the power button, but no picture is actually shown. The ipad mini also acts like its working (will lock and unlock and is detected by itunes)

I have hard reset and restored the software. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance

You may have damaged the LCD/Backlight flex cable when removing it from the frame, or quite possibly damaged the backlight filter on the board. I would first order in a new LCD/backlight from iFixit and test that. If it still doesn't work, it's a board issue.

Would the backlight be working if the cable was damaged?

I saw the posts the the backlight filter solutions, but I presumed that the backlight wouldn't work if this was the issue.
