iPhone 6 plus screen dim after screen replacement!

This is not your average question!

I dropped my iPhone 6 plus last month, shattered the screen and LCD. Ordered a new screen on eBay (I've fixed about 5 iPhones before) and the new screen was a black screen after putting it on (very, very dim) I thought the new screen was faulty so I returned it and bought a new one. SAME ISSUE with this one! Now, here's the catch, if I put my old broken screen on, It's 100% bright and I can see color!

I DID NOT unplug the battery the first time, so many of you will probably say it's a back light issue, but how could this be the case when the old one lights up??

Help!!

Answer this question I have this problem too

I'm not able to see anything at all, it's a totally black screen. It vibrates and gets texts/calls.

It's not the backlight circuit--it sounds like ambient light sensor isn't working. Are you able to slide to full brightness if you turn off auto-brightness settings?

If you bought a compete with small parts(Front facing camera). Your ambient light sensor could be blocked.

Did you move over the original front facing camera?

You might need to DFU the iPhone to rule out software issues..

I did buy it with all the parts on it! No, I haven't moved over the camera or anything. I tried to DFU it but iTunes says it won't do it!

Move the original front facing camera flex from the original screen over and see if that fixes your problem.

Use heat so you don't damage it..

Or attach all except the FFC and see if there is a change..

Process of elimination...

Also, hope it didn't come with a home button already installed... you'd want to move it over from the original screen.
