Searching Error, now Restoring Error 50

Hi together

After replacing a cracked screen, the phone did not boot up. I saw that the battery was a bit thicker on one end which led me to the conclusion that the battery also needs to be replaced. (The phone did also not boot up with the broken screen, so the battery was already broken before).

After Installation of the new battery, the phone bootet up and everythink worked fine except for the cellular. It always wrote "Searching..." even when no SIM was installed in the tray.

On the Internet I read to restore the phone which i did after saving all data. But during restore, I get an "Unknown Error (50)" which seems to be not good.

Has anyone an idea what could be the cause of this? I will open up the phone today to check for damages but I am sure i was careful since i am an electronic engineer, I know how to handle those delicate components.

What I am not sure if I have the screws of the metallic plate on the screen-connectors in the right order. I will check this.

Maybe someone has an idea what to check for? I need to get this phone running again since it is not mine.

Dominic
