I unplugged my play station whilst updating

I have not used my playstaion in about a year and a half after i turned it on today it asked for a softward update, while this was updating it crashed for hours so i unplugged the play station. Ive plugged it back on althought the remote wont connect the on and off button wont respond and it is not apearing on my tele have i completed broke my console or is there something i can do to fix this?
