4S Screen Replacement Use of Adhesive Strips

The kit I have to replace the screen on my 4S contains two adhesive strips that appear to have been specifically designed. However, there is no indication of what they are meant to hold. Can anyone help?

are they thick or thin?

The thick ones are for the top and bottom of the screen. Usually they are cut in a way where if you look at the screen, you can tell where they go. Kind of like a puzzle.

Otherwise, please post pics of them and we will try to help further.

They are relatively thin and shaped the size of the screen so likely are meant to go there. I'd post a picture but I'm new to ifixit and not sure how to do this.

I'm assuming the adhesive strips are for the top and bottom of the front face of the phone. Around the home button and front camera area.

If this is the case punch out the unused holes and separate the cut out adhesive to make it fit.

Do you know if the adhesive strip at the home button location is meant to be applied before the home button is installed or after ... or does it matter?
