Where are the Power door cables for keyless entry

Im trying to install my alarm / keyless entry unit and i cant find the cables to tap into !!!! Iv looked online and it says that theres ment to be a grey connector with the cables in it but iv tested those 2 cables in the grey connector and it reads 0 volts when i push the door lock switch up and down , if these are the cables i might aswell try my luck , if anyoneone knows what one is lock and what one is unlock it would be much appreciated
