Why is my replacement screen flickering

Replaced my screen with an iFixit screen, when I put everything back together, the screen flickers. I pulled it back apart and pulled the battery cable, but the screen continues to flicker after replacing it. If I re-install my original screen, I do not see this behavior. I followed the directions on the site step-by-step and didn't have any problem other than when I turned it the screen flickers like crazy. Anyone have a solution?

More than likely you have a faulty part. This flickering is from a faulty back light IC. You may try to leave it charged in for a while and see if it goes away. I doubt it will as I have seen this behavior a lot before. The only way it was remedied was with a replacement.

Ok, I was hoping that it was something simple that I maybe made a mistake on, but since I can put the cracked screen back on and see that it's working without flickering, yeah... Ok. Well, thank you!

Kept the replacement screen in and it's still flickering. No response from iFixit after emails, Facebook Message, and voicemail regarding a return of defective merchandise.

It's definitely the part then. They were pretty quick about a return I had recently, so hopefully they'll get back to you soon. Keep messaging them.

I had an issue with a different panel I got from them last year and it was resolved quickly... I'm beyond irritated at this point, I have been assured they are sending me a replacement, but I already paid for overnight shipping once and it didn't do me any good thanks to a defective part.
