iPod touch has water damage, completely dry but only show white screen

Well i recently bought an ipod from a guy for 10 dollars thats had water damage for a quite a while, it was a pretty good deal and i decided i could fix it but now i'm lost, when i plug it up it only shows a white screen that blinks on and off, also it won't cut on unless plugged up, and even then it shows a dim white screen, also the computer can't recognize it at all, could someone plz point me in the right direction with this repair?

Options

Try plugging it in to your computer and leave it overnight to charge. If your computer doesn't recognize it in the morning, the logic board is probably bad.

If iTunes sees it, but it dies when you unplug it, you probably have a bad battery. It sounds like your screen is bad, too ... sounds like you might end up replacing all the parts to get this thing working.
