My MacBook Pro will not boot up

Hello,

I have a issue with my Mac I was working on my computer and suddenly shutdown and restart asking me for a password and also a pin # something that I don't have because I never used or put a password

After some trials, I give up and buy a new hard drive I installed , but it didn't work I receiving a folder with a question mark I already try pressing "C" or Command + C , etc all those keys commands

I don't know what to do a this point can someone please help me Thank You

Are you getting this question mark when you try to boot? I had a Macbook Pro 2012 and suddently the sata cable stop working. After replacing this i worked perfectly( I have also been changing this for 1 other friend that had the same problem: Macbook Pro 2010) .

I would try to change the sata-cable.

Hello,

The question mark folder is definitely the error that the HD is not having any OS installed. Did you tried with Command + R to go in recovery mode and install the OS from there? The problem with the restart, the password and the pin # looks strange to me. Looks like the Macbook was locked by somebody else over iCloud. Did you bought the computer new or from somebody else?
