My Mac isn't getting rebooted

My Mac got stuck, so I restarted it in safe mode. The Apple logo appears and the preference bar also appears but the bar disappears halfway and it loads but nothing happens at all. I left it to load through the night but nothing has happened. Now I'm unable to start my Mac

Can you give us the exact model info of your system. Plug in your systems serial number here: EveryMac - Lookup. Then paste the systems URL here so we can see what you have.

When you say preference bar, do you mean a gray bar that appears to load below the Apple symbol? If so, boot your Mac into recovery mode and check the life of your hard drive by "Verifying Disk". After that, Click "Repair Disk". If for some reason it cannot repair it, you may either need to reinstall your OS and start new.
