No boot chime, no fan, no display; nothing happens.

When I attempt to start the computer, I have no boot chime, no movement of the fan, and no display. I hear a momentary attempt to turn on and then nothing. LED's 1,2 and 3 remain lighted. LED 4 is out. What do you suggest.

I have the same thing. The PSU looked like it had some burn marks on the solder side so I sent out for a replacement an unfortunately it was DOA. In my case, the only thing that seems to be getting any power is the DVD drive (and the 3 leds (4th is out). This told me that the PSU was only supplying juice to the DVD and nothing else. Is that a logical interpretation? If not, can anyone set me straight?

Replaced the Power Supply and it now works. Not sure why it works with the new PSU when LED lights 1,2 and 3 were lighted.

usna1970 contact me by email. Click on my avatar for my address. That way I can send you at least the service manual. "LED # 4 is Off: The video card and logic board are unable to communicate to generate video. Replace the video card. If the issue persists, replace the LCD display." if you do not hear the boot chime that means that the logic board is not passing the Power-On Self Test (POST). Replace the SDRAM with known-good memory and test. If the issue persists with known-good SDRAM, replace the logic board.
