Battery replacement - battery is bent through mail; should I install?

So I ordered a new 6s battery and it arrived pretty bent, by an angle of, say, roughly 20 degrees. I bent it back and it looks fine. Is it safe to install or should I get a replacement? The seller wants me to install it first but all the posts with batteries short circuiting and being lit aflame scares me. Is it safe to install?

Ray, do not install, tell seller battery is defective and does not work, return for replacement or refund.

Do not risk your equipment to a potentially defective battery.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

I agree with this. I've never received bent batteries at all sounds like lack of packaging.

I would since they told you to install it, and if it broke your phone, then they would be liable for the damages to your equipment legally

Installing a known damaged product would relieve all liability of the seller.

i mean they told them to install it, and if it gets damaged then it got damaged from following their instruction

@himynameis1322 Ok. ask them! " If I install this damaged battery and it destroys my machine are you going to pay for replacing my iPhone?" Wait till you get the ROTFLMAO message.

why are you getting you angry? down vote my answer sure! If they don't want to follow my advice then they won't! case closed!

Dylan, I did not vote on your ans. It would be Ray's word against the sellers word, who wins??

Not Dylan probably, why take the risk, return as faulty battery.
