rde70, Make sure button on remote is not sticking, remove batteries. The volume control seems to be an issue with some of the Samsung TV's. After checking out some forums, I suggest you open TV and remove the wire from volume button control board to interface board. This should fix your problem according to forums I have read.

rde70 let us know which model your TV ius. If you ruled out the remote by removing the batteries, you are most likely having issues with the IR board.

You should give more information.

Try diagnosing the most obvious part. Set the volume up and make sure that the remote controller does not transmit signal to the TV. If you can, unplug the battery or make sure that no IR points to the TV (you can make sure it's not receiving a signal by pressing another button). If the sound goes down anyway, the remote is not to blame.

This is a software glich, unplug tv plug back in will solve this issue every time it goes out.

Software update is not available. Frustrating…
