MacBook not turning on, hard drive beeps once, dead?

So basically I watched family guy on hulu (but fell asleep) and when i woke up, I got the "Reserve battery power" pop up on my screen. I close it, plug it in, and go out to the library.

I get back, open up my macbook and what did I see? Nothing. Nothing at all. The screen is completely blank. The hard drive spun a little, had a short low-volume beep (not like the RAM beeps) and shutdown. Tried it again, same thing. Tried it multiple times, sometimes with the beep, sometimes without...either way...it's not turning on.

Note: I replaced the hard drive in my macbook with a WD Scorpio Blue or whatever its called.

I think there is something wrong with the logic board maybe? I need my laptop to do my homework due on Friday, so any help would be appreciated!

Edit: Forgot to mention: I tried resetting the PRAM and everything else, but it won't work cause the computer won't even boot...

Can you boot to install disk and use tools to examine the HD?

no, the cd went in, and now its just in there. every time i press the power button it just makes a noise, but it still shuts off. i've also tried removing the RAM, and it beeps once(an actual loud beep) when i try to turn it on without the RAM.

Did you check the RAM? The Apple store is in the business of selling logic boards.

Who are you going to believe? Apple Corporate Support page information, a guy that makes nothing for helping you (me), or the Apple store who will make $300 to $700 off you? Check the RAM.

Unplug it, take the battery out and hold down the start button for 10 seconds. Then put it back together and try starting.

Tried it, still nothing...hard drive whirrs, then beeps but still doesnt start up.

Remove the battery and try starting using just the AC adapter.

by

That doesnt work either. I'm almost 100% certain it doesnt have to do with power. I also tried it with another AC adapter, both with the battery in it, and without.

1 beep = no RAM installed reseat the RAM one stick at a time in each of the slots. You may have developed a bad slot.
