As you can see the black protruding part has broken and the copper bars are exposed

Hence, I cannot charge my device/connect it to PC.

It died today due to low charge and I cannot therefore turn on the device. The phone is my daily driver and I cannot do without it, it also has imp data. It is also rooted and bootloader unlocked with custom ROM and recovery

I think that only the microUSB port has been damaged and there are no complaints ( short circuit ) as

Since video is broken Youtube link

The notification/charging LED lights up red to indicate too low charge

I am not good at soldering so I am planning to go to local repair shop, so my question is can they fix it ? Help and advice needed ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Should be a pretty simple repair. Charge port replacements are not complicated. I would call ahead to make sure they had the part though.

Thanks for the info :)

I am still worried though that the phone battery ( li - ion ) may go to sleep mode ( low-power state ) and battery replacement may be needed If I don't fix it quickly. I can only give it to service centre tomorrow as today is a national holiday. Will the battery be completely dead by then ?

Probably but it should be fine.
