Where is my wifi adapter at on the hp pavillion 500-400z Ct0

i need to know where my wireless network adapter is at so i can make sure everything is plugged in, and to to find out why my computer never connects to wireless networks but picks them up it just never connects. i have to use an annoying workaround to use the internet on my desktop!!

Hi, What happens when you try to connect to the network? Do you get a message to enter a password? What is the number of 'signal strength ' bars showing on the available wireless networks ( how many out of 5 bars available)? What OS is installed in your PC?
