Headphone jack mode issue

Hi all

I have a problem with Iphone 5, for some reason my ear mic stopped working, so changed it and the flex ribbon, still no change, I then noticed that when I flicked the silent button it was showing me "headphones" on the screen and the same when I flicked it back, so assuming there was an issue with the jack I first cleaned it with cotton bud and isopropyl , Nothing changed, I then replaced the headphone jack and flex twice and still no change, so any pointers would be a great help as I am now at a loss of what it could be apart from a board issue.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I would try restoring the phone to rule out any software issues , otherwise it is almost certainly an issue on the board.

One cause of this is water damage / corrosion on the charging port ribbon connector on the logic board and the ribbon connector itself.
