Keyboard not responsive, couldn't detect keyboard

Macbook Air (Early 2011)

Upon booting up the mac couldn't successfully search for the keyboard. I intend to get this fixed myself. Please advise.

Can i make a bold assumption to just change a keyboard cable or something.

So you are saying the keys on the built in keyboard are not working? Or that you are trying to connect a bluetooth keyboard?

In either case, if you have a USB keyboard laying around, plug it in and see if it works on your Mac.

You can also try an NVRAM reset, where you hold Command-Option-P-R until you hear two chimes and then let it boot normally.

When I connect a external keyboard everything is fine. :(

But it doesn't detact the build in keyboarf
