replaced cracked lcd with new one.

Hi, I have a Macbook A1181 model.

Core2Duo 2ghz 1gb ram

Replaced with new screen. All I get is a black screen. When I use a flashlight I see very faint graphics. I can see words too when booting into operating system. When it goes completing into operating system it does not display anything.

On external display everything seems to work fine.

On laptop screen graphics seem to come on and off the screen if I touch a key or any keys on keyboard it seems.

Under System Profiler / Graphics Card it says no display connected.

Do I need a new inverter board? Loose connection? Or is something else wrong?

Options

Since you can see the screen with a flashlight, that would indicate that the inverter has failed. Check your cables first and replace if needed.
