Screen flicker, lines, and touch not working after screen replacement

So my iphone screen was cracked and my front camera was broken so I ordered a complete display assembly with camera and everything from ifixit itself. I disconnected the battery and transferred the home button and everything but after connecting everything and trying to turn it on there were lines going down it AND the screen was unresponsive to my touch. I opened it back up and tried everything again but now it is either mostly black with a few lines or completely black. Please help.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Firstly take the screen off and clean the connectors on the logic board and the flex cable with Isopropyl Alcohol and then set them down making sure they are properly connected. If that doesn't work then take the screen back off and check the connectors on the logic board and the screen flex cables. If the pins on the screen are damaged you will need to get another one, if the pins are damaged on the logic board you will need to find someone to micro solder new connectors on. If there is no damage then the screen may be faulty, if you have the old screen and the lcd is still working on it you can test it and see if it is working correctly in which case the new screen is likely to be faulty.

Thanks! I just tried disconnecting and reconnecting the connectors a lot of times and eventually it worked. I have a feeling this solution might not be permanent though so I will definitely try yours if mine ever stops working again
