Laptop only works when plugged in

I spilled a bit of water on my computer and ever since everything has been working fine, except I can only use my computer when it's plugged in. The battery icon at the top says 100% and the light on the magsafe is green. I ran a battery diagnostic and it says everything is working fine. If I'm using the computer and the cord comes unplugged it just shuts off.

Like I said, everything else is working fine, it's not running slow or getting hot. What parts could be the issue?

Update (09/01/2016)

Oh I should add that I already tried an SMC reset to no avail.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Give this gem of an app a try to check things out: Coconut Battery. Its a free app! Snap a screenshot of the main screen and if you can try pulling the power cord while the system is running to snap a second capture. Post them here so we can see.

@Coco - Very different animal ;-}

As this was water damaged it could be a few different things. Doing some level of diagnostics would be a smarter direction here.
