Not charging, Doesnt work of power..

I got a macbook mid 2007 model.

I replaced the DC in board and battery connector from my WORKING macbook to the broken mid 07 mac and it does not charge the battery.

Also when plugged in with a working magsafe power adapter the lights turns GREEN and stays LIT but the macbook does not charge..

I know the battery works fine as i charged it fine in my working macbook..

What else could i do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I was taking the macbook apart completely to further inspect the logic board.. While looking at the guide this picture here..

http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/NleG4...

My blue and black wire were plugged into the opposite connector as shown on that pic..

Could that be a issue??

Well yah but the blue and black wires were swapped according to the picture up there??

What do you mean see if i can boot??

by

Man the laptop runs. The issue is it will run off the battery if the battery has charge.

So the macbook works perfectly fine but it will not charge a battery or run of the AC power. But if I put a charged battery in it it works for the duration of the batteries charge.

Could be

the DC in boards are not compatible, (you don't specify the old MB was same as this one) or it was damaged in the exchange.

I propose returning the DC in board to the original Mac and see if it will charge. If not then you need a new DC in board. If it will the problem is in this machines logic board.

The working macbook is a core duo model. I checked the dc in board on ifixit.com ordering page and it appears to be the same for the CD's and the C2D's.

And yes the dc in board still works as im currently using my working macbook and its charging the battery just fine and running off that.

is it worth buying a logic board and replacing it in this macbook? I wanted to fix it up and sell it.. i paid 100$ for it already so adding on the cost of the logic board will it be worth my while?
