Black and Unresponsive screen, but recognizable on Itunes

I dropped my phone and the screen is completely black. There is no sound or coming from the device. Phone however gets hot when I charge and itunes is able to recognize it. I can put it in dfu mode and such. No water damage.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Forgot to add that I lifted the screen and check all the cables. Nothing seemed off.

Most likely the board was damaged in the drop. The fact that its heating up tells me that one of the power IC's was either damaged or fell off. It could also be the battery connector that was damaged. Pull the screen and disconnect the battery. Do this even if you don't go any further since battery fires are no joke. Examine the battery connector on the board for bent or loose pins. Gently lift on it to see if its seated securely. If that looks good, its time to break out the scope and start examining the board for damaged components.

Sorry, I should've clarify that the heat was an indicator to me that it is charging. The warmth is no difference from before when the screen was functioning.
