Yes, it will fit. Let me explain to you why if you would like to look into other M.2 SSDs as well.

There are 5 main lengths to an M.2 SSD. 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110. These numbers can be decoded as width-length in millimeters. All of these above are 22mm wide. But they have different lengths, like 30, 42, 60, 80, and 110mm. Every laptop will support different types of SSDs, mainly by length, not width.

Your laptop is compatible with 2280 M.2 SSDs. So you can use the Samsung 950 Pro SSD. Hope that was enough information for you, ;-D

And also how do i know if nvme works on my laptop ?

It should, considering you have support for such a powerful SSD. And I think I saw that on the spec sheet on Asus' website as well.

I have the 17 inch version of that series of notebooks. I know for a fact mine only supports SATA drives using the M.2 connection. I'm pretty sure the same is true for your 15 inch model as I looked at buying it instead at one point

it says on the wesbite that the m.2 slot is pcie x4 ...which means it supports that ?

by

Oh, that's just the speed of the slot. If you look at a desktop motherboard, it has multiple full size PCIE slots. But each one runs at a different speed, like x16, x8, x4, or x2. I can go more in-depth if you'd like.
