Why can I not download any apps on my tablet?

Whenever I try to download an app on my tablet, it says "authentication is needed. Sign into your google account" so then I got to settings and press the account and then I go back to the play store and it still doesn't work. Why? And PLEASE help!!

Sorry, I would suggest to do factory reset on it after making sure you backed up everything you need from the device.

Options

Try to go to settings, then application manager and find play store app. Click on the app and clear data and cache. Try to login again and download.
