No service and Screen not responding after opening

Hi,

I had the problem where i was getting the grey bar on top of the screen which was causing it to be un-responsive.

I opened the phone very carefully and checked the connections inside, re-seated the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the logic board. Put the phone back together and now the screen does not respond at all although the display now works and i'm also getting a 'no service' displayed!!

Any ideas? i've done a few iphones before and never had any issues!

Few iphones as in iPhone 6's?

Sounds like a connection issue from the LCD and digitizer ribbon connector.

The grey horizontal bar on the top of the screen usually indicates that the touch IC chip has gone bad. If that is the case then the grey bar will come back again.

It's worse on the 6+ if it's the touch IC issue as they are more prone to it due to it being larger and thinner, basically more flimsy and that aluminium housing on the phone.
