Not working after screen replacement

Had a cracked screen on iPhone 5, so replaced it.

Switched it on and left side of screen was white, right side black.

Opened it back up and checked everything again, but now nothing happens at all?

No lights, no Apple, no noise or vibration, just blank.

Now I'm going blind from squinting at small screws and parts and having a minor tantrum, any ideas before I start chucking it about?

Make sure you have the battery unplugged at all times when replugging the front panel connectors. Make sure they click in properly when plugging them in.

That issue is usually caused by a bad connection from the LCD ribbon cable to the LCD connector on the logic board.

Additionally you can try cleaning (with 99% isopropyl alcohol) the front panel connectors on the logic board and the LCD and digitizer ribbon cable coming from the front display assembly (screen).

Took it all apart and reattached all connectors, still nothing.

Have put it on charge in case battery is flat, but no sound or vibration you usually hear when charging, and screen is still blank.
