iPhone won't start nor operate

So I replaced full housing on my iphone 3g. Now it switches on, apple logo appears for 15sec and goes blank. Sometimes battery icon comes out but it doesn't charge. All ribbons and cables are attached as I made everything very gently. What went wrong and how to fix it? Can it be fixed by professional if yes whom can you recommend from online services/

you need to check the battery contacts with the motherboard, clean and make sure prongs on battery are in contact. also make sure screw next to sticker that says don't remove is in properly as this makes the contact secure.

clean the dock, recheck connector 4, even though you are gentle maybe it's not on properly
