Options

New optical drive does not eject dvd.

I just replaced the optical drive in my 15" MacBook Pro and it will not eject the DVD. I can hear it clicking and clacking but it will not eject it. I removed it and replaced it and it still does the same thing. Should I send it back to ifixit?

Options

Hook up the drive with the top still off but connected to the logic board. Set the drive so that the opening is not obstructed and see if it will work. Start the drive up with the mouse depressed.
