Rainbow marks appear on screen when pressed harder

Hey ,

Yesterday I noticed weird issue with my phone.

When you press on the screen slightly harder this rainbow marks will appear on the screen. - Image

A friend of mine took it apart couple of weeks ago , ever since I have been experiencing issues with the speakers during a phone call - the sound was much worse than before .

Also I dropped it a few days ago,(I actually dropped my backpack but the phone was there).

The speaker was not bugging me that much , however the issue that I`m having right now !#^&@! me off.

I will post a video when I get my hands on another phone.

Some info:

The LCD has always felt loose , there is a gap between the casing and the display on the upper part , when you press harder you can feel the display going down. This has always happened but there were no rainbow marks before.

My friend has put ducktape between the lcd and the battery . . .

Removing it fixed the issue.

Has the screen been replaced before? Bad quality / some refurbished screens tend to show this but the rainbow marks is most likely pressure marks that occur when you put pressure against the glass.

If the microphone still works but very quiet then you might have an issue where there is dust / debris or blockage of the microphone hole where the sound needs to get to the microphone but is being obstructed.

Usually brushing out the microphone hole which is located at the bottom left of the phone right next to the headphone jack can fix the issue.

For the LCD being loose, that is probably due to either the battery going bloated / expanding and pushing the screen up separating the glass from the front display frame. If it is bloated, replacing the battery should stop the rainbow pressure marks from occurring and the glass not pushing up so bad after that.

I'm guessing the screen hasn't been replaced before right? from what I'm reading.

Excuse me , I make a mistake.

Its not the microphone that is the problem but the speakers.

My guess is that there are speakers for videos/music .. etc and speakers for phone calls. The problem is that I cant hear very well the person I`m talking to.

As far as the LCD issue : I havent replaced the lcd but I`m second owner so I cant confirm for sure whether it`s the original one or not. However , I have replaced the battery with a a cheap one from aliexpress.

Yep, the earpiece speaker and bottom microphone (microphone also used for voice memo) is used during phone calls with 'Speaker' not turned on.

For the earpiece speaker issue which you are describing it is either the earpiece speaker that has gone bad or the speaker filter / grill needs to be cleaned like the microphone.

Yes , the speakers seems fine for now.
