Why would you want to do that? The phone supports 2 amp charging (and so does 6+, 6S , 6S+ while the iPhone 4 / 4s / 5 / 5c / 5s / 5se do not. If I remember correctly.

If you want to charge your battery faster, use an ipad charger. They typically charge at a higher amp. However be careful, some chargers can damage your lightning port and short your battery.

You better don't use a iPad charger. The iPad charger gives 2.1A output, an iPhone charger gives 1.0A output. So if you charge your phone with a iPad charger it will be chart faster but you damage your battery from the iPhone.

@thephonelabnl I have tested all the iPhones and iPads from 1 to the latest one. From what I gathered.

iPhone 1, 2, 3, 4, 4s, 5, 5c, 5s all charge at max 1A.

iPhone 6, 6+, 6s, 6s+, iPad 2 / 3 / 4, Mini 1 / 2 / 3 / 4, Air all charge at max 2A.

This is all using a charging station that displays amperage / current going through all 8 of it's USB charging ports.

The devices only draw the amount of current the circuit is designed to do. I don't think there is actually any bad reason to even use either charger. Better to use what it's rated at. Or else you are just going to wait longer for your device to charge if it's rated at 2A and you use a 1A charger.

TL-DR: It's completely fine to use a 2A charger on a 1A phone.

Allright if you said so, our experience is that the capacity in percentage of the battery going faster down then when you always use a 1A charger. But I think we don't get agree about this haha.

Actually you are right. The faster you charge a battery. The quicker it will degrade the battery capacity.
