Unable to connect n7100 to pc, but charging seems to be working

1 N7100 was accidentially connected to PC with a misrepaired usb cable where signal lines (+3.3 v) of one end were mistakingly connected to power lines of another end (+5v and ground).

2 Now a PC doesn't see the phone. I tried differrent cables and OSses, the phone was booted to both recovery and firmware. lsusb doesn't show the phone, so it seems to be a hardware problem.

3 Service manual says "replace motherboard". Of course, it is infeasable.

Have anyone meet a similar trouble? Are there any fuses to protect the phone from this kinds of situations? Is it possible and needed to replace some IC used usb data transfer, or replacement of exynos chip is needed?
