new battery, new charge port, still not charging...

iPhone 5c

Repair information and guides for the Apple iPhone 5c that was announced on September 10, 2013. Model: A1532, A1456

Options

Slight water damage.

Put device in pure alcohol, then rice.

Replaced battery... unit powered up and seems to have all functionality.

Except battery charge.

Replaced Battery Charge module. Now it sees charge power, but says

"Device Not Recognised" and refuses to accept charge.

Question....

1 . Is it the motherboard damage?

2 . Is it a non apple charge port that is not recognised?

3. Is it the iOS. Currently version 7... needs to be version 9

4. something else?

Options

I would try the following:

- try with a new battery, since the water damage made the first one insecure/faulty

- update the ios, then check

- replace tristar
