Has anyone had issues with 7200 rpm HDDs in a MacBook?

Hey guys, asking this question for a friend of mine. He has a black Core 2 Duo MacBook, and is getting a new hard drive. He is looking at 7200 rpm drives, but is worried about excess heat and vibration. Anybody use 7200 drives and have any input? Thanks!

Hello David. I recently upgraded my white Macbook to a 7200 RMP drive and I have had zero issues with heat and vibration. Honestly, I have felt no difference between the new and old 5400RPM drive. The only difference is the performance. You should recommend that he gets a Hitachi or WD drive. I can also tell you that my macbook runs at the same exact temperature as it did with the 5400 RPM drive.

+ agreed, I have a 7200 scorpio black in my MBP and love it. I've also installed about 20 of them in customers machines and never had a failure or a complaint.
