Washer is powered up but won't spin or agitate

I have a GE WJRR4170G0WW washer that stopped working. It pumps water out and I can hear the timer working but it will not agitate or spin. Even when manually turning the timer dial. I bypassed the lid switch (hoping that it would be an easy fix) with no luck. Also inspected the drive belt and it looks great.

Richard Howell how did you bypass the switch? Have you checked the motor to see that it gets power and is working?

Richard Howell if you properly bypassed ( or diagnosed) the lid switch as functioning properly, and the belt is okay, you will have to checked the motor. Make sure that it has power first.
