I did a force shutdown Now it wont start!

I basically did a force shutdown on my Iphone and now i go to turn it on and it shows the boot logo and then stops showing it and stops booting all together what do i do?

press and hold power+home for 10 seconds, apple should appear and then will reboot.

Thankyou for your input, but that method doesnt work, i left out the fact that my iphone is jailbroken, i also realised when i was counting the ten seconds, it would would start booting straight away, stop at six seconds and start again at 10 seconds and still failed to boot

is it recognised in itunes, can you put in recovery/dfu and restore? although my phone did this after multiple attempts at dfu it did finally work. I also had another similar problem which was solved by cleaning the power button-it had become stuck "on"
