Can I replace my optical drive with an SSD
Can i replace my optical drive with a SSD and make it the bootable drive and keep my original hard drive for extra storage?
Or would i be better off replacing the original hard drive with a SSD and transferring my original drive to the optical bay as i have heard that there can be issues with placing a SSD in the optical bay?
What might i need to achieve this in terms of size of SSD or drive enclosures?
I know roughly what tools from other similar guides but not entirely sure for this particular device.
I want to do this to so that i can upgrade from 10.6.8 to the latest OS and increase speed.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
My Imac Specs are:
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac9,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Is this a good question?
