iPhone 3G Power button seems to be broken .

It seems like the power button on my iphone 3g doesnt work, It works time to time randomly if i hold the front and back of the top right corner while pressing the button pretty hard. Is there any solutions to get the phone to go to DFU mode or basically a complete fix to it in general?

Thank you guys in advance!

try opening phone when powered off and checking connector 5 (has power switch one end, headphone jack, mute, volume at other)

do you have any problems with these functions?

the "flange" on power flex gets less springy with time/use. i'd try replacing that first. It's a tricky/fiddly job, just be patient....
