Why is my computer freezing and making a buzzing noise when gaming

so im a lol player and i play on my laptop and after a windows update i tried getting into a game and it immediately froze and all i could hear was a buzzing noise. this went on for a while and no matter what i did i couldn't fix it. I couldn't find any reliable answers on the internet either which. would appreciate if i could receive some assistance. thanks.
