Can I put iBook g3 board on a iBook g4?

I have an ibookg3 12" and an ibookg4 14".

In the ibook g3 the keyboard trackpad and screen is not working well.

In the ibook g4, the mother board is dead (or at least that is what apple store people told me, after a minute of starting it up it freases).

My question is :

can i put the board from the g3 to the g4 case, so i will be able to use at least one of those computers.

it is not a hurry as i have two macbooks, one me an another my wife.
