Can the LCD and glass digitizer be separated?

Hi I have bought a new glass digitizer thinking it can be replaced like the 3G and 3Gs screens however I have read that you have to replace both as they are a combined unit.

Is there anyway to remove the LCD from the glass?

I'm sorry to say that somebody got the best of you here. The iPhone 4 glass, digitizer, and LCD are bonded together, and cannot be separated. The entire display assembly must be replaced.

On a side note, is your iPhone not still under warranty?
