Front facing camera still not working after full replacement

Hi,

I have a phone that was water damaged. I brought a screen replacement from iFixit that came with basically everything assembled. All i had to do was move over the home button and install. Everything works except the front camera.

When you try using it via the camera app, all it does is show the last image from the back camera. During Facetime calls, all you get is a connection unstable message.

Any ideas?

Options

First thing to do is figure out if its hardware or software. Download a 3rd party camera app and try it. If that works, then you need to reinstall iOS. If it doesn't, then its more than likely damage to your motherboard which would be expected with water damage.
