It won't move and it won't charge

All of a sudden my rc car didn't move when I changed the batteries of my controller, but then I changed it back to the original battery, but it still won't move, then I tried charging it but the light of the charger won't light up. The controller is fine, but something's wrong with the car. please help

Test the battery voltage of the cars battery, see if it's normal.

Get a multimeter and set it to DC. On the connection where the wire goes into the connector, put red to red and black to black. DO NOT SHORT CIRCUT THEM! If it's a 3.7v battery, it should read 3.7-4.3 volts. If it's a 7.2v battery, it should read 7.2-8.2v.
