reset and all I see is apple logo

Tried to reset my iphone for my son to use, followed the instructions, general, settings, erase all data and contents. Told me it would be less than an hour till i would see some sign of life.Its now been 7 and all i see is the apple logo, it does nothing else, i tried plugging into computer but still not being picked up on my itunes account.....what do i do?

try putting it into recovery mode.

the phone needs to be off.

have itunes open on your computer and the cable plugged into the computer but not the phone.

with the phone off, hold the home button for 10 seconds then plug the cable into the phone.

see if the computer recognizes it after that.

putting it in recovery mode will force you to restore the phone so you will lose anything you had on it.
