A few minutes ago, I found a really small bug (like a book worm) was crawling on my screen. I grabbed a piece of paper tissue, and pressed hard on the bug to kill it. I think I used at the tip of my nail on the tissue.

I could not find the dead bug, but now I have a permanent strain on the screen. It is not something on the surface because I wiped it really hard and it did not go away. The glass surface does not seem damaged when I examined with a flashlight.

I did not expect pressing an LCD screen with fingernail on a paper tissue could make a permanent strain. Is there any way to remove it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Now I think the bug was actually *beneath* the glass, and was squashed. The strain could probably be the dead squashed bug.

Same problem. The LCD panel in the u2412m (LG brand) is filled with holes at the inside which are glowing like the magic lamp of Aladdin for these little bugs.

After a few weeks trying to ignore it, I followed the instructions below to open the screen, removed the bug and taped every hole in the panel (cloth tape).

Be warned. This work is not like repairing a kitchen sink.
