Spilled cola, it does boot up but the screen goes black

Hello,

I spilled some cola on the table, and some of it seeped inside my MBP through the rear vent.

I was using it, so the power was on. I lifted the laptop as soon as possible, wiped it and tilted it so that liquid can be soaked up by the towel. Then suddenly the laptop died.

I plugged the power out, turned it off, but then the laptop booted itself back up for some reason. I forced it to shut down again, got the scree driver and cleaned the inside.

Unfortunately, i didn't have a star-shaped screw driver so i couldn't clean the logic board. I think it's where the most damage is dealt, from what i can tell from the location of the spill

After drying ot for 3 hours I tried to reboot the device. It booted up normally and the apps that i had turned on before the incident were also intact. Then suddenly the screen went really dim and then black.

Can you please tell me what the situation is?

Would cleaning the logic board enough?

or would I need to get a new logicboard?

Not good ;-{

Sounds like you got the logic board wet. Most likely you have damages some of the circuitry on it. Best to find an authorized service center who is willing to work on your system, sadly, Apple service won't.

Most likely you've damaged the backlight circuitry and may have damaged the connector leading to the display which you can see here: display data cable.
