New Xbox One Controller Motherboard Replacement issue

I replaced a faulty top mother for my xbox one controller with a new one and it works perfect, except the fact that it wont update. I can use my controller fine but for some reason my xbox one wont recognize it fully as a device. Is there a certain step I've missed when it comes to top motherboard replacements. Any help appreciated or even put in the right direction with someone who does. PS: my usb cable is fine too and isn't the issue.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?
