Why won't the screen respond to touch?
The screen is on and looks fine but it doesn't respond even though I restarted the device 3 times.

If you've already tried doing a hard reboot of your device by holding down the power button for at least 15 seconds then you're probably dealing with something a bit more sinister.
Here a couple possibilites:
1. An application (app) is crashing and causing your device to lock-up (for lack of a better term). When this happens you may have no choice but to completely clear your device hard drive and reload the operating system. This will require using the cable and connecting it to a PC.
2. Your touch screen may be malfunctioning, and will require replacement.
